Shanghai — Hangzhou · 7 days
Seven days compare Shanghai's urban energy, Suzhou's garden-and-canal culture and Hangzhou's West Lake and tea landscapes by short rail transfers.
This is a planning framework, not a fixed group tour. Stops, transport and daily pace can all be changed.

Main interests
- Days 1–2
Shanghai
Compare the Bund and old city with lilong lanes, neighborhood food and the contemporary riverfront.
Continue to: Suzhou · High-speed rail
- Days 3–4
Suzhou
Spread classical gardens, canals, the museum and Suzhou craft traditions across quieter morning and afternoon visits.
Continue to: Hangzhou · High-speed rail
- Days 5–7
Hangzhou
Separate West Lake walking from a tea-village or temple day so weather and seasonal light can guide the order.
Arrival and departure
Arrive in Shanghai and travel one way by high-speed rail through Suzhou to Hangzhou. Depart from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport or Hangzhou East station, avoiding an unnecessary return to Shanghai unless the international flight requires it.
Why this route works
The route moves in one direction and gives Hangzhou the longest stay, so West Lake and a tea-village day are not compressed into a single visit.
