NatureVillagesFood & local life
  1. Day 1

    Chengdu

Plan pandas early, then connect teahouses, markets, Sichuan food and neighborhood streets at a slower pace.

Continue to: Dujiangyan · Rail or private car

  2. Day 2

    Dujiangyan

Follow the irrigation system from its headworks through channels and old-town spaces, with Qingcheng Mountain as an optional second day.

Continue to: Danba · Private car

  3. Days 3–4

    Danba

Stay long enough to walk between stone towers, Tibetan villages and cultivated slopes rather than viewing them from the road.

Continue to: Mount Siguniang · Private car

  4. Days 5–7

    Mount Siguniang

Allow altitude adjustment before choosing Shuangqiao or Changping Valley according to fitness and weather.

Arrival and departure

This is a private-car mountain loop from Chengdu through Dujiangyan and Danba to Mount Siguniang. The final mountain day must include the four-to-five-hour return to Chengdu, or be followed by an extra Chengdu night before departure.

Why this route works

Driving days are shown honestly, Danba receives a full village day, and Mount Siguniang is given time for altitude adjustment before a valley walk.
